3. Decide on an interpretation-after analyzing the
artwork how do you understand the details?

Your interpretation on this piece will depend on how you see the
details the artist put into it.
Take note the people may vary the interpretation of any piece of the
artwork some may see the straightforward of interpretation and
some may see a lot of hidden meaning of the artwork

To interpret what you have noticed about the artwork take a guess
about the meaning of the work
• What is the artist trying to say in this work, and what makes you
think that?
• Why did the artist create the work?
• Do you think there are symbols in this work? What are they, and
what do they symbolize?
• Look at the emotional content and symbols to find the meaning of
the work.

4. Make a judgement call- you may finally decide
whether you really like the artwork or not.
When making a judgement call you need to ask
yourself this question;
Was the artist able to convey his or her message
successfully?
