DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
READING AND CRITICAL
READING
Reading refers to the act of looking at and
understanding written or printed words. It involves
decoding the words, understanding their meaning,
and comprehending the overall message or
information conveyed by the text.
On the other hand, critical reading goes beyond
simply understanding the words on the page. It
involves actively analyzing and evaluating the text,
questioning the author's arguments or claims, and
considering different perspectives or interpretations.
Critical reading requires thinking critically
about the content, identifying biases or
assumptions, and assessing the credibility
and reliability of the information presented.
