INTRODUCTION
• BCC is an important tool in the field of health promotion and is widely used
in public health campaigns aimed at reducing risk behaviors and promoting
healthy lifestyles.
• BCC strategies can take many forms, including mass media campaigns,
interpersonal communication, and community-based participatory
approaches. These strategies may be used to educate individuals about
health risks, to promote healthy behaviors, and to empower individuals to

DEFINTION
Behavior Change Communication (BCC) is an interactive process of any
intervention with individuals, group or community to develop communication
strategies to promote positive health behaviors which are appropriate to their
settings and thereby solving the world’s most pressing health problems.
It is a communication strategy which encourages individual or community to
change their behavior or a strategy that triggers people, societies,
communities to adopt healthy, beneficial and positive behavioral practices.
