FOR
PROMOTION

• Must possess a baccalaureate degree
from a recognized institute of learning;
• Must have Civil Service Commission
(CSC) 2nd level, RA 1080 or PD 907
Eligibility;
• Work Experience(must be 2 years in
present rank by a candidate including
temporary status)
Time-in-Grade-the accumulated
number of years in the present rank
• Must have undergone required
mandatory training for each rank
position. 7
• Must have a good performance
rating obtained by candidate for
promotion or appointment in a
given rating period based on the
criteria established in the BFP
Strategic Performance
Management System(SPMS);
• Must have passed the neuro-
psychiatric evaluation, medical
examination and drug test for the
purpose of determining his/her
physical and mental health;

• Drop From Rolls
• Promotion
• Regular/ Mass Promotion- vacant
items given by NHQ
• Promotion Thru Lateral Entry

• Meritorious Promotion- any
uniformed personnel of the BFP
who has exhibited acts of
conspicuous courage and gallantry
at the risk of his/her life above and
beyond the call of duty shall be
promoted to the next higher rank.
