Proposal Defense Presentation

This presentation summarizes a project to optimize the design and performance of vortex bladeless wind turbines. It identifies the key challenges as nonlinear wind behavior and minimum wind speed limitations. The project aims to address these by developing a secondary gain controller and optimizing performance at low wind speeds. A literature review identifies research on related topics but notes gaps, such as a lack of experimental validation and limited analysis of models. The problem statement will focus on a missing link found in the literature review. The deliverable will be an end product or solution. A Gantt chart will outline the project plan and conclusions or future work will be described.

Motivation
In this project, we aim to optimize the design and performance of
vortex bladeless wind turbines.
Our motivation for this project is rooted in addressing the
multifaceted challenges of traditional vortex bladeless wind
turbines. The primary problems are twofold:
Non-Linear Wind Behavior
Minimum Wind Speed Limitation

SMME - Department of Mechanical Engineering

Objectives
To address these pressing issues, our project is underpinned by
the following comprehensive objectives:
Secondary Gain Controller
Low Wind Speed Optimization
Our project's core focus is to eliminate wind speed limitations,
adapt to non-linear wind behavior, enhance energy output, and
make vortex bladeless wind turbines a reliable and sustainable
energy solution that operates efficiently across a wide range of
wind conditions, particularly in areas previously unsuitable for
wind energy utilization.
