 SEO stands for “SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION” .


 In simple terms SEO means the process of improving your website to
increase it’s visibility in google , Microsoft Bing and other search engines
whenever people search for products .
WHY IS SEO IMPORTANT ???

Whenever people want to go somewhere , do something , find


information , research or buy a product / service – their journey
typically begins with a search .
 SEO is the foundation of holistic marketing .
 It is a channel that drives the traffic you need to achieve key business
goals and it also build trust.

 Off – site optimization
TECHNICAL OPTIMIZATION :
 Optimizing the technical elements of a website
 You want to make it easy for search engines to discover and access all the
content on your pages ( i.e., text , images , videos).
 The technical elements matter here are URL structure , internal linking and
more .
 It also stress the importance of pages that load quickly and provide a good
user experience .
CONTENT OPTIMIZATION
 In SEO your content needs to be optimized for two primary
audiences : PEOPLE AND SEARCH ENGINES .
 What this means is that you optimize the content your audience will
see as well as what search engines will see.
 Covers relevant topics with which you have experience
 Include keywords people would use to find the content
 Includes multimedia ( e.g., images , videos )
OFF – SITE OPTIMIZATION

There are several activities that may not be SEO in the strictest sense
but nonetheless can align with and help contribute indirectly to SEO
success.
 Link building is the activity most associated with off – site SEO
 Link quality beats the link quantity – and a large quantity of quality
links is the goal .
HOW DOES SEO WORKS
 If you find any page via google search , you likely searched google for
( what is SEO or SEO ) it will land on a particular list of websites .
 Simply if you want to find your business via search – on any platform you
need to understand the technical processes behind how the engine works
 Research is the key part of SEO . It includes audience research , keyword
research , website research and so on .
 An SEO strategy is your long term action plan . Planning plays the
important role to reach your goal .
 Once all the research is done , it’s time to turn ideas into action , that
means creating new content , recommending or implementing changes
or enhancements to existing pages and removing old content.
 You need to know when something goes wrong or breaks on your
website , monitoring is essential .
 Analyzing , assessing and reporting on performance .
