Introduction
The project involves designing and building an automated machine
that can efficiently and safely scrape coconut flesh from the coconut
shell. The machine should be user-friendly and capable of processing
coconuts with minimal human intervention.
Problem Statement
"The traditional method of manually scraping coconuts is time-
consuming, labor-intensive, and potentially hazardous.
This manual approach not only hinders efficiency but also poses
safety concerns for individuals engaged in the process.
 As a result, there is a pressing need for an automated solution to
improve the coconut scraping process."
Objectives
 Design and Fabrication: Design a user-friendly and efficient automated coconut scraper
machine and successfully fabricate a working prototype.

 Safety: Ensure the machine incorporates safety features to prevent accidents and injuries during
operation.

 Efficiency: Improve the efficiency of the coconut scraping process, reducing manual labor and
saving time.

 Versatility: Create a machine capable of handling various coconut sizes and types, ensuring it
meets diverse user needs.

 User-Friendly Interface: Develop a control system that is intuitive and easy for users to operate.
Methodology
 The system uses a shaft with a holder to hold the half-cut coconut in
place.
This holder shaft is held in place by mounts designed for it. Also, a frame
is made to hold the entire mechanism.
On the other side is another shaft that is mounted horizontally with a
scraping tool attached to it at one end.
At the other end, it has a motor attached to the shaft.
The motor is powered by our electrical circuit to move the scraper tool
and the coconut can be pushed against it to achieve coconut scraping in
a short time without much manual effort.
Possible Outcomes
Working Prototype: Successful design and fabrication of a fully operational automated
coconut scraper machine.

Efficiency Improvement: Significantly reduced time and effort required for coconut scraping
compared to manual methods.

User-Friendly Interface: A machine that is easy to operate and user-friendly, making it

accessible to a wide range of users.

Safety Compliance: Integration of safety features, reducing the risk of accidents during
machine operation.

Cost-Effective Solution: Analysis showing that the automated machine provides cost savings
in terms of time and labor for both households and industrial users.
