Circumference of a Circle

Short Explanation and Activity about a Circumference of a Circle

Circle
A circle is a planar figure
with all points the same
distance from a fixed
point. That fixed point is
called the center of the
circle. Any segment that
goes from the center to a
point on the circle is called
a radius. A diameter is a
segment that passes
through the center and has
it’s endpoints on the circle.
Circumference
The distance around a circle or an arc is called its
circumference. This is the perimeter in a circle,
that radius is multiply by twice of a (pi), or if the
diameter is given, you can multiply the diameter
by pi constant which is = 3.14.
