What is an interjection

 An interjection are words or phrases that express an


emotion or feeling and are often used to convey surprise,
joy, anger, approval, or other strong emotions. They are
typically used in spoken language and can add emphasis or
express the speaker's attitude towards something.
Types of interjection

 There are several types of interjection


 Expressive interjections: These interjections convey a strong emotion or feeling,
such as "Wow!", "Oh!", "Yay!", "Ouch!", and "Hooray!"
 Greeting interjections: These interjections are used to greet someone or get their
attention, such as "Hey!", "Hello!", and "Hi!"
 Attention-getting interjections: These interjections are used to draw attention to
something, such as "Listen!", "Look!", and "Psst!“
 Interjections of agreement: These interjections show approval or agreement with
something, such as "Yes!", "Okay!", and "Sure!"
 Interjections of disagreement: These interjections express disagreement or
disapproval, such as "No!", "Uh-uh!", and "Not at all!"

informal spoken language to convey the speaker's reaction to something.
