TEMPO
Tempo refers to the rate
of speed at which a
musical composition is
supposed to be played.
It controls the speed of
music like a traffic cop
controlling the flow of
the traffic.
The tempo tells how fast
or slow a musical
composition is to be
played or sung.
DYNAMICS
Dynamics refers to
the intensity of sound
or volume.

TEMPO
Adagio – slowly

Allegro – lively, joyously, gaily,


cheerfully

Andante – moderately slow


Largo – a slow and solemn
movement

Lento – slowly

Moderato – moderately
Moto – motion, quickly

Presto – rapidly

Tranquillo – calmly
Accelerando – gradual
increase in speed

Allargando – growing slower

Grandioso – majestically

end of a section or the whole musical piece.
