INTRODUCTION
Kiros Hagos Engineering Consulting was originally established in
2007 E.C in Mekelle town. It is owned by professional namely . Consulting Architects and Engineers had performed all types of designs related projects namely Architectural, Structural, electrical, Sanitary and Land escape design, Interior design, Supervision and Contract management, preparation of Bill of quantity and specification. The company had well experienced personnel (Architects and civil engineering professional) with a wide range of skills in the built environment. ORGANIZATION CHART AXU M HOTEL COMMERTIAL BUILDING SHIRE AGRICULTURAL BUREAU Joining Of the Company We got the application paper at the end of 3rd year, since then I have been searching a hosting company at summer 2011 in Mekelle. And I got accepted in some office but later on, I realize they don’t have the ability and the capacity to tech and learn as I want, so my decision was to search a better firm office and my location at that time was in Mekelle and I got a chance to Habenoms office. Section of the Company I Have Been Working I was able to design according to the rules and regulation without any obstacle. In the design group. My Performance during the Working Period As I have been told by my supervisor and the architects in the office my performance was absolutely good. In this short period of time I enquire very much knowledge about the working environment in the practical world and I surely improve myself Challenges I Have Faced difficulties how to deal with a client, and of course to deign with a minimum cost and time . not understanding the business part of the profession The owner is wro Elsa. The site is located on semen woreda. The site is 159 m plot. The is owner ato TEKLE This residence is on 140 m2 area. A g+2 residences on this area Mahber fre bete fana is a complice of peoples that own a site of 1680 m2 area as a group. This complice have 20 members each of them own 80 m2. The owner is Ato Gessese Gebru The site is140 plot. Is G+2 building The owner is Ato Berihu Desta. This site have 165 m2 area. The project is designed for G+5 floors which is built for residential for rental The owner is ato Tekeste. The project is designed for a G+17 floors and one basements and commercial which have restaurant, shops and of course apartment houses. The total area of the site is 400 m2 which is located in semen. This building was designed by habenom consulting office . this building is 175m2 area. The building is G+5. the building have already built three floors already from basement up to 1st floor & From 2nd up to 4th floor is under partitioning the rooms but the fifth floor is on structural constructions This building was designed by habenom consulting office. The buildings area is 175m2 area. The building is in process of its partition. They have constructed the structural part. It have basement parking. The parking access is easily since the building is in the sloped site it make it easy to accessible LOGO DESIGN RESIDENCE COFFEE HOUSE RESTURANT BARBER SHOP BAKERY COLUMN DECORATION Upgrading the theoretical knowledge The internship period is not only depending on the practical aspect but it also helps students to upgrade or increase knowledge on already that they have. Improving practical skill The aim of internship program is to address more practical knowledge for students, so , found a practical knowledge at the office as much as possible in this four month. Upgrading interpersonal communication skill Communication is sharing or exchange information or ideas with other in order to get some messages and knowledge. The communication system within the office and clients has taken on a large role in achievement of profitability and efficiency in communication. Improving team playing skill Involving in every piece of task and achieving good team playing skill is essential for effective completion of tasks and increasing productivity. Improving leadership skill Leadership is the process of influencing individuals or group to accomplish an organizational goal or mission. I have seen how each worker is controlled and organized to perform its day to day activities. Able to communicate clearly Being organized Use the full capability of your organization Ensure that task are understood, supervised, and accomplished Listen to others Develop a sense of responsibility in your workers Keep workers informed Know your people and look out for their well-being Make soundly and timely decisions Seek responsibility and take responsibility for your actions. Be technically proficient (skilled with d/t knowledge) and ethical. Entrepreneurship skill Entrepreneurship can be defined as the process of involving the creation of new enterprise and that the entrepreneur is the founder. He or she is the person who perceives the market opportunity and then has the motivation, drive and ability to mobilize resource to meet in. an entrepreneur is required to establish meaningful relationship between activities and authority which is intimate related to planning function The ability to relieve stress. The ability to manage and raise money. The ability to be productive. The ability to make entrepreneur friends. The ability to identify strengths and weaknesses. The ability to hire effective people. The ability to train and manage resources and staff. The ability to connect via social networking. The ability to focus on mine customers. The ability to spot new trends. The ability to deal with failure. The desire to improve mine world . Conclusion The internship is a bridge between the theoretical knowledge and the piratical or the reality work the field of architecture and engineering. We all who take the internship course in order to gain practical knowlage real experience given by the working flow of professionals which their work will be applied in real nonacademic world. The responsibility of the hosting company was to teach the intern and shape them in the four month to be a good architect and to be a model citizen . THANK YOU.
