Robotics
INTRODUCTION
Introduction to Robotics: Define robotics and its interdisciplinary nature, covering aspects of mechanical engineering, electrical
engineering, computer science, and artificial intelligence.

1. **Sensors**: Devices that detect and measure physical quantities

such as temperature, pressure, position, and light. Common types
include:

- Proximity sensors
- Temperature sensors
- Accelerometers
- Gyroscopes
- Encoders
- Force sensors
2. **Actuators**: Components that convert electrical
signals into physical movement or force. Examples include:

- DC motors
- Servo motors
- Stepper motors
- Solenoids
- Pneumatic actuators
- Hydraulic actuators
3. **Microcontrollers/Processors**: Small computing devices that serve as the
brain of mechatronic systems. They receive input from sensors, process data,
and control actuators. Common examples include:

- Arduino boards
- Raspberry Pi
- PIC microcontrollers
- Atmel AVR microcontrollers
4. **Interfaces**: Components used to connect sensors,
actuators, and other devices to the microcontroller or
processor. Examples include:

- Analog-to-digital converters (ADC)

- Digital-to-analog converters (DAC)
- Communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART)
- Relay modules
- Motor drivers
5. **Power Supplies**: Provide electrical power to the
components of the mechatronic system. Examples include:

- Batteries (e.g., lithium-ion, lead-acid)

- Power adapters
- Voltage regulators
- Power distribution boards
6. **Mechanical Components**: Parts that provide structure and
facilitate movement in mechatronic systems. Examples include:

- Frames and chassis

- Gears and gearboxes
- Belts and pulleys
- Bearings
- Shafts and couplings
7. **Control Systems**: Components used to regulate the behavior of
mechatronic systems. Examples include:

- Microcontroller-based control algorithms

- PID controllers
- Motor controllers
- H-bridge circuits
- PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
8. **Displays and User Interfaces**: Components that provide feedback to users
or allow interaction with the mechatronic system. Examples include:

- LCD displays
- LED indicators
- Touchscreens
- Keypads
- Buttons and switches

These components work together to create complex mechatronic systems

capable of performing a wide range of tasks, from simple automation to
advanced robotics and control applications.
