Hindi is an ancient language belonging to Indo- Aryan group of languages. It is the fourth most
spoken language in the world and is popularly used in Indian Sub-continent. Hindi is written in
Devnagiri Script and is derived from ancient Prakrit language. Hindi is also closely related to Urdu
and both the languages share many mutual words, however the alphabets differ. There are various
dialects of Hindi widespread across the India.

Ghazal is a form of arabic


poetry. Ghazal is a short
poem consisting of
GHAZAL rhyming couplets known as
bayt or sher.

• Syed Ahmad Shah, better known by his pen name Ahmad Faraz
was a Pakistani poet and scriptwriter. He got influenced by
writings of Faiz Ahmad Faiz and Ali Sardar Zafar during his
college times and thus decided to follow their footsteps and
become a poet.
• His most prominent works include Pas Andaaz, Janan Janan and
Ghazal Bahana Karoon.
His famous ghazals include Is se pehle ke bewafa ho jaye, Zindagi
se Yahi gila hai mujhe and Ankh se dur na ho dil se utar jaega.
• For his outsanding contributions he has been awarded Sitara-i-
Imtiaz and Hilal-e-Imtiaz by the Pakistani Government.
• His works also inspired many artists including Ghulam Ali,
Pankaj Udaas, Mehdi Hassan and Jagjit Singh.

KIS KIS KO BATAAENGE JUDAAI KA SABAB इक उम्र से हूँ लज़्ज़त-ए-गिर्या से भी महरूम


HUM ऐ राहत-ए-जाँ मुझ को रुलाने के लिए आ
TU MUJH SE KHAFA HAI TO ZAMAANE KE
LIYE AA अब तक दिल-ए-ख़ुश-फ़हम को तुझ से हैं उम्मीदें
ये आख़िरी शमएँ भी बुझाने के लिए आ
