EVALUATIONS:
1)VISUAL INSPECTION:
The created formulations were assessed based on their fluidity ,clarity and capacity to produce foam.
3ml of shampoo was taken, and 10ml of water was added to dilute it .
Shaken the cylinder vigorously in under a second twice , then leave it alone for 15 uninterrupted minutes.
The amount od foam procedure immediately after shaking was measured 4 times ,every one minute.
The foam volume required constant over the course of around 5 minutes, demonstrating the shampoo's foam generation
process procedures foam that is both stable and exhibits higher foam properties possibly as a result of soap nut.
7
3.DETERMINATION OF PH:
The pH of 10%v/v shampoo solution in distilled water was measured by using calibrated pH.
The shampoo filled porcelain dish was placed on the hot plate and left there until the liquid evaporated
8
5.WETTING TIME :-
The length of time the canvas paper needed to soak up all the water was determined as the wetting time. A disc with
a 1-inch diameter was made from a piece of canvas paper weighing 0.44g .The canvas paper disc was placed over the
shampoo (1%v/v) surface ,and the amount of time it took for the paper to sink was calculated using a stopwatch.
6.STABILITY STUDY:-
The stability of the formulation was studied for a period of 4 weeks by keeping at
temperatures of 25°-30°C.The shampoo is free from microbial
contamination and remains stable at room temperature.
7.SURFACE TENSION:-
The cleaned stalagmometer was filled to mark A with the prepared shampoo that would be tested.
The amount of drops of that the liquid will produce as it travels from mark A to mark B was then computed once it should
to rain owing to gravity.
To determine the mean value ,the process was performed three times.
9
8. DIRT DISPERSION:
Two drops of shampoo was added to 10 ml of water containing test tube and one drop
of ink was added in test tube.
Shake test tube for 10 min. The amount of ink in foam was estimated as None, Light, Moderate or Heavy indicates the dispersion nature
of shampoo.
ANTI-FUNGAL ACTIVITY
The Antifungal activity was checked by following Zone Inhibition Method (Kirby-Bauer method).
The SDA plates were inoculated by spreading with 100 µl of Fungal culture, C. albicans (adjusted to 0.5 McFarland Unit - Approx cell
density (1.5 X 108 CFU/mL) and followed by placing the discs containing 10 µl of different concentration (0 to 100 mg/ml).
One disc in each plate was loaded with solvent alone which served as vehicle control and Amphotericin B disc (50 µg) was taken as
positive control.
The plates of C. albicans were incubated (Basil Scientific Corp. India- Incubator) at 37 °C for 24 hrs. The clear zones created around the
disc were measured and recorded.

Summary and Conclusions
Based on the results obtained from the study, test organism was treated with
different amount of sample on agar plate, and Maximum zone of inhibition
(ZOI) created around the treatment disc was estimated (Diameter) for Sample
(14.00 mm at 1000 µg dose) against the test organism C. albicans as compared
to positive control (zone of Inhibition 15.33 mm at 10 µg dose of Nystatin).
From this work, it can be concluded that the formulated polyherbal shampoo
possess anti fungal activity.
