Course Learning Objectives (CLOs)
 Students should be able to comprehend the force systems and calculate
its derivatives in form of components, moments, resultants etc. in 2D
and 3D.

 Students should know the laws of equilibrium and be able to apply

on statically determinate simplified real life problems in 2D and 3D.

 Students should be able to identify different structural 2-force and

multi-force members and be able to analyze the forces in them i.e. in
trusses and frames and machines.

 Students should know the basics of distributed forces and be able to

analyze internal and external effects on beams when subjected to
distributed loading

 Students should know the basics of dry friction in statics and dynamics
hence forth should be able to apply its laws on static wedges.
