Proverbs 4:5
Get wisdom, get understanding; do
not forget my words or turn away

CHARLIE D. VIA

the most recognizable and famous book that has ever been published.
In the past 50 years, the Bible has sold over 3.9 billion copies.
It's the Most Stolen Book
Ironically, although one of the Ten Commandments is “thou shalt not steal,” the Bible
is the most stolen book in the world. Bibles are regularly taken from hotels, hospitals,
bookstores, and other locations.

Reading the Bible Daily will,,,,,,,,,,
1. quickens the mind.

Psalms 119:130 says, “The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives
understanding to the simple.”

When we open and read through the pages of God’s Words,
we connect ourselves to the ultimate source of knowledge
and wisdom.
Reading the Bible Daily………
2. serves as our guide.
• It Gives Instruction for Daily Life
• The Bible is the lamp unto our feet and the
light unto our path (Psalms 119:105)

Reading the Bible Daily………
3. changes you.
 By beholding we become changed.
The Bible says, “By beholding, we become changed” (2 Corinthians
3:18). Thus, by constant meditation on God’s love letter, we become
reflectors of God’s love and image, which is a powerful witness to
the people around us.

4. Teaches You How to Forgive
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along
with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another,
forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31-
32, NIV)
Isalikway ninyo ang tanan nga kaligutgot, kapungot, ug kasuko. Ayaw na kamopamalikas,
o pagsultig daotan batok sa usag usa, o pagdinumtanay. 32Hinuon, magminaayo ug
magmalumo kamo sa usag usa, ug magpinasayloay kamo sama sa pagpasaylo sa Dios
kaninyo pinaagi kang Cristo.
One of the key components of the gospel message is that Jesus died on the
cross to forgive sins. Since this is such a central aspect of who God is — a
forgiver — the Bible has a lot to say about forgiveness. Think about who you
need to forgive, and then practice removing any bitterness you may be holding
on to toward that person.
Reading the Bible Daily………
5. equips you for good work.
• A missionaries manual
The Bible equips us for righteousness as written in
2 Timothy 3: 16
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof,
for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be
adequate, equipped for every good work.“ (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Reading the Bible Daily………
6. gives us joy.
 The answer to our live’s whys.
“When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my
heart’s delight, for I bear your name, LORD God Almighty”
(Jeremiah 15:16).

The Bible does give us joy. It has the answers to all our
lives’ whys; it encourages us when we are down; and it
satisfies our souls with the abundance of love, joy, and
peace.
Reading the Bible Daily………
7. strengthens the faith.
 Our only safeguard for faith.

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and

hearing by the word of God”

Daily Bible study allows us to grow healthy and fruitful.

Without daily Bible study, our visions of eternity will grow
dim. Remember that we are all afflicted by sin, and without
constant meditation of the Words of God, our strength will
diminish, and our hopes will die.
Reading the Bible Daily………
8. It Is Full of God’s Promises
The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never
leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
(Deuteronomy 31:8, NIV)
niya ikaw biyaan o pasagdan. Busa ayaw kahadlok o
pagpakawala sa paglaom.”
What an encouraging verse! Repeat this promise to yourself daily
until you’ve memorized it. Every time you feel anxious or worried,
remind yourself of this verse; the way you remember God’s
promises is by memorizing them.
Reading the Bible Daily………
9. sanctifies us.
 The divine filter– God’s words.

John 17:17- “Sanctify them in the truth; your

word is truth.”

Ilain sila aron mahimong imo pinaagi sa

kamatuoran; ang imong pulong mao ang
kamatuoran.
Reading the Bible Daily………
10. protects you from temptation.
Psalm 119:11 says, “Thy word have I hid in mine
heart, that I might not sin against thee” (KJV).
“Tipigan ko ang imong mga pulong sulod sa
akong kasingkasing aron dili ako makasala
kanimo.”
Having faith won’t change the fact that our conditions
are still imperfect. The Bible allows us to have a change
of heart. It refines us to be more and more like Jesus.
When we humbly receive the reprimands of Scriptures,
we allow the spirit’s sanctifying power to affect us.
