• Created by Jack Dorsey,Biz Stone,Evan Williams and Noah


Glass back in march 2006 in San Fransisco,USA and later
bought on April 14th of 2022 by elon musk for $44Billion.
• Twitter(or “𝕏”)went viral for it’s unique layout and functions
where a user can broadcast short posts(also known as
“tweets”).
• The main point of it is to connect users with one another,and
allow them to share their thoughts with their followers or
through the use of hashtags.
• Twitter could also be a useful place to keep up with new
events happening all arounf the world.
IN WHAT LANGUAGE IS IT CODED,AND
HOW DOES IT WORK?
• Scala is one of the main application programming languages
used at 𝕏 .Scala is a strong statically typed high-level general-
purpose programming language that supports both object-
oriented programming and functional programming. Designed
to be concise, many of Scala's design decisions are intended to
address criticisms of Java.
WHY WAS 𝕏 WRITTEN USING SCALA?

• Options like C++ were reportedly barely considered as they


were ill-filling for the task.So eventually the choice was made
and the slim picking among the languages made twitter try
Scala.It was chosen as a fast,advanced and flexible
language,winning over all others.
HOW DOES IT’S ALGORITHM WORK?

• The 𝕏 algorithm is a series of rules and factors that


determine which content appears on each user's timelines.
The Twitter (𝕏) algorithm controls what content we see and
how we see it based on components such as location, virality,
personal interests, recency, and whether or not the post
contains media.
HOW DO YOU GET PICKED UP BY 𝕏
ALGORITHM?
• Recency. The 𝕏 algorithm prioritizes the most recent and
updated content on the “For You” timeline. That conveys
that fresh and popular tweets stand a chance to gain better
engagement and visibility in the timeline. About recency,
current events, and trending topics may appear in the trending
section.
HOW DOES THE “FOR YOU” PAGE
WORK?
• For you shows posts based on recommendations of
accounts you follow or topics you're interested in. Your
Following timeline displays posts from only the accounts you
follow. When you close twitter(or 𝕏) on the For you or
Following tabs, you will return to whichever timeline you had
open last.
HOW DOES THE MONETIZATION
WORK?
• There are two methods of 𝕏 monetization: ad revenue
sharing and premium video sharing. Ads revenue sharing
enables the users to have a share in ad revenue from the replies
to their tweets, while video sharing allows publishers or
advertisers to monetize video content on the platform.
HOW IS AI USED IN 𝕏?

Ai on 𝕏 can be used to :
• Fight against hate speeches(social media is flooded with hate
nowadays)
• Automatically crop photos/screenshot them(for
example:pikaso_me)
• Manage the twitter timeline of users
• Improve the “who to follow section”
• Customize the “what’s happening” section
• Optimizing X ads
• Create bots
HOW THE 𝕏 AI ALGORITHM WORK?

𝕏's AI algorithms employ natural language processing


techniques to identify and flag potentially harmful or
abusive content. This technology helps in maintaining a safe
and respectful environment for users. Furthermore, Twitter uses
AI to combat spam and fake accounts.
GENERALLY,HOW IS AI USED IN
SOCIAL MEDIA?
AI has been trained to go through numbers, clicks, user
interests, age, regions, internet profiles, user preferences,
and purchase habits. All this data helps digital marketers take
proper action when it comes to creating content that fits
different audiences' needs and interests.
