Introduction

 LPG Transition and Safety Challenges: LPG serves as an

alternative to petroleum but introduces safety issues due to gas
leaks.

 Limitations of Existing Gas Leak Detection Devices: Current

devices rely solely on gas sensors, which can be ineffective if
occupants lose consciousness during a leak.

 Proposed Solution: We propose an IoT-based Gas Leak

Detection device that continuously monitors gas levels, detects
human presence, and identifies fire incidents.

 Benefits: By leveraging internet connectivity, this solution aims

to prevent accidents efficiently and minimize

01
Literature Survey
 Some use different sensors like MQ6 in place of MQ5
 Some programmed the system such way that it sends a text
message to notify the user
 Shut off the gas line automatically
 Some even used GSM and Wireless monitoring system

02
Purpose System
Detection and Alert:
 Detects gas leakage promptly.
 Alerts people through sound alarm and SMS.
 Acknowledges the owner.
Emergency Shutdown:
 Automatically turns off power when high gas
leakage is detected.
Safety Measures:
 Calls the owner in case nobody is present during
the leakage.
 Aims to prevent accidents and property damage.
Cost-Effective Solution:
 Efficiently reduces damage caused by gas
leakage.

03
Software
 An open-source software for writing and uploading code to
Arduino boards.
 Compatible with various operating systems (Windows, Mac
OS X, Linux).
 Supports programming languages C and C++.
 Essential for creating and managing Arduino projects.

Exhaust Fan  The project detects gas leakage using

sensors, triggering alarms and notifications.
 It emphasizes the importance of timely
detection and response to prevent accidents
and protect lives and property.

Result

Before Gas Detected After Gas Detected

06
Future Scope
 Integration of Machine Learning: Implementing machine learning algorithms can analyze gas leak patterns and
predict potential leaks before they occur. This predictive capability enhances accident prevention.

 Cloud Connectivity: Incorporating cloud connectivity allows remote monitoring and management of gas leak
detection data. Users can access real-time information and receive alerts from anywhere, enhancing convenience and
scalability.

07
Conclusions
This project is like a super-smart nose that sniffs out dangerous gas leaks. It uses an Arduino, a tiny computer, to
do its magic. When it senses gas, it sends a message using a GSM module, like a text message, to warn people.
It's like having a guardian angel that watches for danger and alerts us right away. This simple device could be a
lifesaver during fires or other emergencies, making our world safer for everyone.
