There are 10 flowers on the left and 6 on the
right. How many flowers in total ?

10 + 6 = 16 So, there are 16 flowers


Mom buys 7 apples and 6 oranges. How many
fruits does she buy altogether ?

7 + 6 = 13 So, mom buys 13 fruits


There are 5 students in a class. 7 more join in. How
many students in total ?

5 + 7 = 12 So, there are 12 students


I have 8 kitten and 6 puppies. How many pets
do I have in total ?

8 + 6 = 14 So, I have 14 pets.
