Plan Formulation Process
• United Nations (UN) has long recognized that young people are a
major human resource for development and key agents for social
change, economic growth, and technological innovation
• National Youth Commission (NYC) is the agency that specifically
addresses issues surrounding Filipino youth. It was founded on June
30, 1995, via Republic Act 8044 or the "Youth in Nation-Building Act
of 1995"
Filipino Youth
• Republic Act (RA) No. 8044, Filipino youth shall refer to those
persons whose ages range from fifteen (15) to thirty (30) years old.
• RA No. 10742 or the “Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015”,
• (a) Child Youth – 15 to 17 years old
• (b) Core Youth – 18 to 24 years old
• (c) Adult Youth – 25 to 30 years old
