Kick your right leg and raise your left arm; then kick your left
leg and raise your right arm.
Do you know who governs your arms and legs?
Yes, it’s your brain.
Drone rack

The rack to a drone is just like the bones to a human body, carrying all the necessary parts of a
drone. A good rack requires solid materials, convenient usage, and reasonable structure.
The common structure of drones include “+”, “X” and “H”.
Propeller

A propeller is a device with a rotating

hub(Rotor) and radiating blades that

transforms rotational power into linear

thrust.

The propeller produces the lift to make the

drone fly.
Motor

A motor is a machine that makes the blade rotate. As to LiteBee Wing, it has four motors: two

clockwise motors and two anti-clockwise motors. Its direction of rotating is unchangeable.

For easy to distinguish, LiteBee equipment the clockwise motor with red-blue wire, and anti-clockwise

with black-white wire.

Flight controls
Flight control is the core part of a drone, just like the brain to a human. It bridges
the drone and controller, making the drone move as ordered.
The flight control of LiteBee is open-source hardware that can be programmed.
Battery

The battery is an energy source that power the

motor. Given the efficiency of power control, most of

the drones adopt the Li-Po(lithium-polymer)

batteries.

The battery determines the power and flight time of

a drone.
Battery maintenance

1 ) Do not overcharge or over-discharge it, and it must be replaced when bulged.

2 ) Generally, the battery could be charged for 300-500times, thereafter its performance may
reduce sharply.
3 ) It’s harmful for a battery to keep it unused for a long time, to keep at least 70% of its
power if you have to
4 ) It’s better to charge the battery after it cooled.
5 ) The battery can’t perform well when it in low temperature, to keep the battery active
could improve its performance.
ESC
Electronic Speed Controller, it bridges the flight control and motor to adjust
the power of each propeller.
Receiver

Receiver: it’s installed on the back of the drone to receive the signal from
the controller.
Camera

Camera: it is for taking pictures or shooting video.

Assembling
Assembling
Assembling
Blades

There are two groups of blades of LiteBee Wing c: clockwise and anti-clockwise.
You should install them correctly if you want the drone to fly.
There are marks on the blade for you to distinguish

Clockwise

Anti-clockwise
Replace blades

If you have to replace the blade when

it’s broken, the mini wrench could be

a useful tool for you.

It’s as easy as the right picture shows.

Replace guard

The guard can protect the propeller. Unless it’s

necessary, do not remove the guard from the drone.

If you have to remove or replace it, follow the steps:

1) Hold the motor with your fingers, then pull the

guard out with another hand.

2 ) Afterwards, put the guard from another motor,

just as the picture shows.

Install the battery

Pull the plug(as the pic 1) down, and then follow the groove to push the battery in

position.
Install the battery

The battery could provide the power for drone to fly for 11 mins in windless environment.

Pull the plug(marked as 1) down, then pull the battery out as the step 2.
Battery charging

Put the battery in the charging socket,

then connect the socket and adapter

with a standard micro USB wire.

It cost about 1 hour for a full charging.

It’s charging when the red light is on,

full when the green light is on.

Attention: The USB interface on the main

body is not chargeable Charging Completed

Replace the landing gear

Replace the landing gear

Hold the motor with one hand, and

then pull the landing gear out with

another hand.
Replace the landing gear

Just like these pictures show, what you need to do is to put them in the right position.

But remember to put the wire in the crack of the landing gear(marked as 2).
Think about it

1 、 What are these components of Litebee drone? How can

you classify them?
2 、 How can you make sure that the drone has been
assembled correctly?
3 、 Is there any difficulty in this lesson? Share and discuss it
with classmates.
