Business Case: Controlling access to Host resources

SonicShoes has a number of unique services, each represented by a


web server client on each of the four IP subnets created in the
Interfaces lab. Access to these services needs to be carefully managed
in order to ensure all use is authorized and compliant with the
company’s security policies.

Self-Paced Exercise: Create the POS_AO Host Address
Object

1) Click Manage > Objects > Address Objects


2) Click Add
3) In the Name field, enter POS_AO for the Address Object
4) Click the Zone Assignment drop-down menu and select the POS zone
5) Click the Address Type drop-down menu and select Host as the address
type
6) Enter the IP address of the host for the POS webserver into the IP Address
field
7) Confirm POS_AO is displayed in the table of Address Objects
