Each of the above sections may be divided into smaller parts, called blocks.
Such blocks are identified by the number of the section followed by a two-
digit number. As a complement, a code number is provided, to help
identifying to which configuration each block is applicable. As an example,
there could be:
Block Codes # of pages Numbering
1-04-00 01 2 1 to 2
1-04-05 01 6 1 to 6

SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
9

The SOP provides information and guidance for the

efficient operation of the EMBRAER 135 at 145 for
the flight crew. This manual is not a replacement of
any of the operational manuals required by applicable
regulations such as the AFM or the AOM. Is
optimized for passenger-carrying operation in a
commercial airline environment and the philosophy
behind this manual is based on reducing crew
workload while maintaining the highest possible level
of safety.

MMEL & DDPM
Master Minimum Equipment List
12

The aeronautical authorities of the state of design of the airplane should indicate
with the manufacturer, through the adoption of a Master Minimum Equipment
List (MMEL) , what are the systems and equipment parts that may be out of
operation under certain conditions of flight, no flight will be held inactive
systems or equipment other than those specified.
A Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) is published for each airplane
model, written in very brief format and presenting only the main remarks to
dispatch the airplane.
The minimum equipment list, approved by the country of the operator, is
required for each aircraft, based on the Master Minimum Equipment List
provided by the manufacturer responsible for the design of aircraft in
conjunction with the aeronautical authorities of the country of design.
It is the operator's responsibility to develop a company MEL with procedures,
using the MMEL and DDPM as a guide to obtain approval of this company
MEL from the assigned authorities to determine that:
a) Adequate
PIE procedures

OPERATIONS developed,
MANUAL and
R0 15_SEP_2010
b) The company MEL is not less restrictive than the MMEL.
MMEL & DDPM
Dispatch Deviation Procedures Manual
13

The Dispatch Deviation Procedures Manual (DDPM) is a guidance

document published by the airplane manufacturer. Is intended to assist
airlines in developing procedures required to operate the aircraft in
nonstandard configurations allowed by the MMEL and the CDL.
Provides:
 Suggested Operations (O) and Maintenance (M) procedures to meet

MMEL requirements
 Suggested position and content of placards

 EICAS message list to assist in determination of possible MEL relief

 Drawings and pictures to assist in the location and identification of

MMEL/CDL items
 A reference for development of the airline MEL

 If DDPM information conflicts with the AFM, MMEL, or CDL, the

W&BM (Weight & Balance Manual)
15

The W&BM provides instructions referring to the weighing

and loading of the EMB-135/140/145 airplane models.
The Instructions and Data herein presented are approved by the
Airworthiness Authority to comply with the applicable
regulations.
The Basic Empty Weight value obtained during the airplane
weighing procedures should be used as point of departure for
each loading operation.
Based on the contained information, the operator can
determine the airplane weight and CG at any time of flight.
