INTRODUCTION
Internet has become the most important process management tool within
companies, since thanks to this tool, company processes can be managed quickly
and efficiently. Although not in all cases it has been seen in the same way, since
most physical stores have had to adapt, quickly, to sell their products on the web.
However, many businesses still face various challenges: buyer behavior is not the
same on the Internet, product distribution logistics, delivery times, among others.

E-Business
What is E-business?
E-business refers to a global strategy aimed at redefining existing business processes, with
the support of technology and with the basic objective of maximizing profitability and
value to the consumer. This allows the creation of a strategy with future prospects that
helps improve the conditions and infrastructure of each company, with the aim of gaining
profitability.
Advantages
• Agility in customer service, possible thanks to the agility of online processes.
• Cost reduction, through savings in physical infrastructure, greater agility in work
processes and assertiveness in results.
• Business offer on the Internet, with the possibility of reaching different audience
profiles, depending on the e-business modality.
• Possibility of creating a value chain that connects customers, suppliers and partners,
for a 360º view of the brand's stakeholders.
Examples of E-Business
• The implementation of a Desktop Purchasing System (DPS) solution
that assists, organizes and controls the entire supply process,
checking the availability of merchandise and making orders and
payments.
• The development and management of digital marketplaces for
products and services.
• The integration of catalogs from different suppliers in the same
enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, to support procurement,
warehouse management, order processing, production management
and logistics.
Examples of E-Business
Google - All its operations are carried out 100% digitally, without any
physical unit at the service of the final consumer.
Streaming - The entire process of subscription, service, cancellation,
payment and even the consumption of the product itself is online.
Digital Banks - In this model, the client opens an account and performs
all operations online, usually through applications for mobile devices.

E-SCM
E-SCM
Supply Chain Management is the sector responsible for managing a company's supplies.
In an e-business, administration is also done through a digital platform.
A good structured SCM system facilitates communication between the different areas in
charge of monitoring the purchase and distribution of supplies, ensuring more efficient
processes.
Thanks to this tool, the entire workflow operates with greater control, from the registration
of the initial order to the distribution to the final consumer. In addition to optimizing
processes, it ensures greater profitability for the business.
E-SCM Advantages
The success of an e-SCM depends on the ability of all supply chain partners to view
partner collaboration as a strategic asset; a well-defined supply chain strategy; information
visibility throughout the entire supply chain; speed, cost, quality and customer service;
integrating the supply chain more closely.
• Application of e-SCM can reduce some problems in SCM by sharing customer
demand with suppliers as part of Efficient Consumer Response (ECR).
• Reduced inventory throughout the supply chain through better demand forecasting and
faster inventory replenishment
• improved availability of information on potential suppliers and components (for
example, through online marketplaces).

Procurement
What is E-Procurement?
Electronic procurement, also known as e-procurement or supplier exchange, is the process
of requisitioning, ordering and purchasing goods and services online. It is a business-to-
business process. E-procurement uses a web interface or some other type of networked
system that connects suppliers and customers. In the company, a procurement manager or
procurement department typically sets the policies that govern the electronic procurement
of materials for the organization.
Advantages
• Electronic contracting helps to automate the contracting process.
• Automated systems and integrated monitoring tools reduce overhead for procurement
teams, optimize performance, increase process efficiency and achieve cost savings.
• With electronic contracting, companies have access to a greater selection of products
and services to meet their specific needs.
Examples
The electronic platforms on which e-procurement is hosted dematerialize the act of making a
purchase, in relation to all or part of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, which includes three main
stages:
Product selection, ordering, and management and payment of invoices
