MODULE-1 PLANTATION AND ADOPTION OF A
TREE

• Plantations are a type of Commercial farming where a


single crop of tea, coffee, sugarcane, cashew, rubber or
cotton is grown.

• We celebrate plantation day on 21st March each year.

• Trees take in Carbon dioxide and produce the Oxygen.


TOOLS USED FOR PLANATATION

STEPS FOLLOWED DURING PLANTATION

• Dig a pit as required to place the sapling into it.

• Place the sapling into the pit and cover it with soil.

• Water the sapling.


MODULE-2 HERITAGE WALK

• Heritage walk is a tool to explore the unexplored


and neglected richness of the country.
• Heritage walks, are best way to learn and recognize
our culture, tradition, philosophy, myths and
associated rituals with them. The walk makes one
look back and reminds us of our rich culture and
history, provoking us to thing about the existence
of every historical structure and place.
1.TIPPU SULTAN PALACE

• The Tippu Sultan Summer Palace is one of the


most visited historic buildings in Bengaluru.
Hyder Ali, the de facto ruler of the Kingdom of
Mysore started the construction of this summer
palace in 1781. His son Tippu Sultan also known
as the Tiger of Mysore completed the
construction after a decade in 1791.
2.VIDHANA SOUDHA
• Described by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as ‘A
Temple dedicated to the Nation', Vidhana
Soudha houses the State Legislature and the
Secretariat of Karnataka and is one of the most
popular attractions in the lively and colourful
city of Bengaluru. It also proudly boasts the title
of being the largest state legislative building in
the country.
• The phrase "Government Work is God's Work"
and its Kannada equivalent "Sarkarada kelasa
devara kelasa" (in Kannada script as "ಸರ್ಕಾರದ
ಕೆಲಸ ದೇವರ ಕೆಲಸ") are inscribed on
the entablature.
3. BANGALORE FORT

• Kempe Gowda beautifully constructed Bangalore Fort was


initially built as a mud fort in the year 1537 by Kempe
Gowda, the chief of the Vijayanagar Empire and the
founder of the megacity Bangalore.
• The fort was renovated and strengthened with stones by
Hyder Ali, the father of great warrior Tippu Sultan, also
known as the Tiger of Mysore.

MANAGEMENT

• Organic farming is agriculture that makes


healthy food, healthy soils, healthy
plants, and healthy environments a
priority, along with crop productivity.
• Management of agricultural wastes via
organic farming has been shown to
improve several soil properties.
MODULE-4 WATER CONSERVATION

• Water conservation includes all the policies, strategies and


activities to sustainably manage the natural resource of fresh
water, to protect the hydrosphere, and to meet the current and
future human demand .
• Conservation of water is known as using water efficiently to
reduce unnecessary water usage and prevent its wastage.
MODULE-5 FOOD HERITAGE WALK
• Food walks form an integral part of culinary
tourism across the world today. It's a fun
concept to take part in if you are a food lover
and are interested in understanding people and
their lives through the lens of food.
• During a food walk, you usually go out with a
group of people, You walk down a locality and
try to get under its skin through its food.
