Lesson objectives
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to do the following:

A. define the term “contemporary art in historical, cultural and


stylistic terms;
B. explain the difference between contemporary art and modern art in
the context of the Philippines’ various histories, cultures and
identities;
C. appreciate the role of contemporary art and artists in Philippine

D. demonstrate the major characteristics of contemporary art through
an artwork that would require teamwork and collaboration.
