What is an “Interface”?

common boundary of two bodies,
spaces, or phases. ~ Webster
Where’s the Interface?
What Does Underwater Ultrasonic
Mean, Anyway?
Ultrasonic sensors work on a principle similar to
radar or sonar which evaluate attributes of a target by
interpreting the echoes from radio or sound waves.
- generate high frequency sound waves (>18,000 hertz) and
evaluate the echo which is received back by the sensor.
- calculate the time interval between sending the signal and
receiving the echo to determine the distance to an object
(time of flight). ~Wikipedia

Startup Procedure – Standalone System
(use for first time startup)
1. After connecting sensor to controller,
power the controller. Initial Controller
Setup screen will appear
2. Rename controller, adjust Date & Time if
necessary

Setting Up a Sensor

When setting up a series of sensors,


each sensor must have a unique
address other than 1 (2 - 240)
Tank Depth and Zero Adjust must be
entered correctly to obtain accurate
measurement readings
