 Classroom management is the practices and procedures that allow teachers to
teach and students to learn.
 Techniques teachers use to maintain control in the classroom
 Promoting love for learning and success.
 Classroom management is vital for successful teaching.

The best reward is the satisfaction of

Reward the students every time the
given behavior occurs.
Giving of rewards should be given
once behavior is securely acquired

Penalties
It is an action (penalty) that is imposed on a person for breaking a rule or showing
improper conduct.
Penalty aims to control behavior through negative means.
Learn what punishment can be given.
A penalty should come early in a sequence of misbehavior and should be
systematically applied.

Procedures and Routines
• Dictate how students are to work,
• Starting the day……
Welcome each student to the classroom
Turn in assignments within the first minute of class
Class activity will pertain to the chapter
Example- Losts of group activities, projects, and games that may include roll
playing or match debates.

• Ending the day…..

Review what we had done and how it pertains to the chapter for the day

Go over every upcoming assignment with the next few weeks

Ask for any questions regarding these assignments

Remind students of tutorial times

Classroom management is a critical component of successful teaching.
Beneficial to the success of the students.
Classroom management has become increasingly in the current learning
environment.
