• Self-introduction can directly affect the first


impression others have of you.
• A well-prepared self-introduction is the best way to
let others know who you are, remember you and
accept you.
Introduce your name and its meaning (explain it in
meaningful/humorous way)
Introduce your experience and knowledge which
relate to your topic

PERSUASIVE SPEECH

• A persuasive speech presents information to help


the audience make a decision.
• If the audience agrees with you and is ready to
take action by the end of your presentation,
your speech has been a success.
ASSIGNMENT OF THE WEEK • Assignment: You can choose one out of the
two following topics.
1. Should children have the right to keep
personal privacy from their parents?
2. Should everyone go to college?
• Requirements:
- Physical skills: Postures, eye contact, gestures,
voice inflection.
- Visual aids: video clip, photo, picture, chart,
etc…
- Story message: Introduction.
