 WHAT MEANS TO DESCRIBE APPEARANCE?

It means that you need to tell your interlocutor what the person
you describe looks like. In this case, you talk about their height,
hair, face, and other features you can see with your eyes. For such a
description of a person example you mostly use adjectives.
