Answer
Becoming fluent
with trigonometry..!
What is independent practise?
- students working quietly
- for an extended period of time
- I'll be moving around the room, giving independent
feedback (marking in class)
- this will help you make a break through and for it to
"click"!
- raise your hand to ask a question
- whilst you are waiting what independent strategy could
you use to try and figure out the answer (have you tried the
question again, looked through your book, asked the
person next to you...)
LOOP CARDS!
instructions:
• - shuffle your cards
• - choose any card, work out the answer to the question in your book
and write down the answer.
• - put this card FACE DOWN on your table
• - look through the rest of your cards, find the card that has the answer
from the first card and answer its question. Then put this second card
face down on top of the first card
• - Then, find the card that has the answer from the second card and
answer its question
• - repeat the process of finding the answer to one card, answering
another question until you have answered all the questions on all the
cards
• - once finished use the solution card to check you have put the cards in
correct order!
• First team to finish gets praise points! You will be penalised for looking
at the solution card and sabotaging other teams work!

You can only use the Sine Rule if you have a “matching pair”.

You have to know one angle, and the side opposite it.

Then if you have just one other side or angle, you can use the Sine
Rule to find any of the other angles or sides.

triangle? No! Is there a
