COMMUNICATION?
• Simply, that in all the preceding news, social media have played
a significant role in playing them up in the public eye, and that
cultural and global issues now weigh in heavily on how we
communicate with another.
• Facebook and Twitter were invented, social involvement began
to figure like never before in all sides of any story that got the
attention of the public. The internet allowed conversations
ranging from “one to many”, “many to one” or “many to many”.
• If you are not ready to receive backlash or what is now looslely
called “flak”, you should not think of posting how you think and
feel because in doing so you are courting possible cyber
bullying or a bunch of “trolls” to haunt your online existence.

• Although the online technology have affected
communication in more good days, there are
global issues in relation to online technology in
general that have affected communication.
• Fake News: The propagation of fake news affects
communication in the propagation of false
information
• Inciting violence
• Technology affects the peace of mind

BACK THEN , AND NOW?
• In terms of oral communication, we are
using fewer words and repeating them too
often, while requiring those words to have
multiple meanings.
• Written communication is also being
reduced in quality, especially for the
masses. In terms of specialist publications,
the quality remains high.
