Executive

The Executive branch is responsible for


enforcing and implementing laws. It is also in
charge of running the day-to-day affairs of
the government, ensuring that all laws
passed by the Legislative branch are carried
out. The President is the head of the
Executive branch.
Executive
Key Functions:
• Enforcing national laws and policies.
• Managing the operations of the national
government. Administering foreign relations
and national defense. Issuing executive
orders and proclamations.
• Vetoing or approving laws passed by the
Legislative Branch.
LEGISLATIVE

The Legislative branch is responsible for


creating, amending, and repealing laws. It
also holds the power to approve the national
budget and to check the actions of the
Executive branch. The Legislative branch is
bicameral, meaning it has two houses: the
Senate and the House of Representatives.

Key Functions:
• Drafting and passing laws.
• Approving the national budget.
• Conducting investigations in aid of
legislation.
• Declaring war, with the consent of the

The Judicial branch interprets laws and


ensures that they are applied fairly. It is also
responsible for resolving disputes, protecting
rights, and deciding on the constitutionality
of laws passed by the Legislative branch. The
highest court in the Judicial branch is the
Supreme Court.

Key Functions:
• Interpreting and applying laws.
• Ensuring the constitutionality of laws and executive
actions.
• Resolving disputes between individuals,
government entities, or private parties.
• Reviewing the legality of laws passed by the
Legislative Branch.
