Alert Automated LPG Cylinder Monitoring System
Tech

Proposed Solution
 The proposed system, in order to fix the problem, addresses the limitations of available solutions and emphasizes key
functionalities, which include measuring the amount of gas in the cylinder, leak detection, and indication of status to the user
regarding the cylinder.
 The system is based on a sensor network interfaced with the Arduino UNO for real-time data monitoring and control.
 An MQ6 gas sensor is employed for leakage detection of the gas.
 A load cell mounted below the cylinder for weight measurement.
 In the presence of gas leakage within a specified range of the atmosphere, an automatic cut-off of the system is achieved by
means of an NC type solenoid valve, which is controlled through a relay, and then the exhaust system with a BLDC fan is
turned on to remove the leaked gas from the atmosphere.
 Weight data from the load cell are then forwarded to an HX711 amplifier, which converts the signal from analog to digital
before transmitting it across to the Arduino UNO controller.
 There is also an LCD display in the system to show real-time status. The controller contains a programmed code that may
process the sensor readings and give an output of the current cylinder status, its remaining life, and a warning when the
threshold set by the user in terms of gas level drops.
 Notifications alert is given user's mobile via a Global SIM Mobile module. In all, this Automated LPG Cylinder Monitoring
System acts as a watchful guardian, enhancing safety and automating cylinder management with least human intervention.

LPG
Alert FEASIBILITY AND VIABILITY
Tech
 Safety Enhancement: By detecting gas leakage and automatically cutting off the LPG cylinder outlet, the system significantly
reduces the risk of accidents caused by gas leaks. This proactive approach to safety ensures the well-being of users and their
surroundings .
 User Convenience: The auto pre-booking feature of the system simplifies the process of ordering a new LPG cylinder when
the current one is running low. By sending timely alerts and facilitating the booking process, users are provided with a
convenient and hassle-free experience .
 Real-time Monitoring: Through the use of components like Loadcell and Arduino, the system enables real-time monitoring of
gas levels and consumption. This continuous monitoring allows users to stay informed about the status of their LPG cylinder
and take necessary actions promptly .
 Cost-effective Solution: The implementation of IoT technology in the system offers a cost-effective approach to gas level
detection and booking alertness.
 Automation and Efficiency: The system's automation features, such as automatic cutoff during gas leakage and alert
notifications for booking, enhance efficiency in managing LPG cylinder usage. By reducing manual intervention and
streamlining processes, the system optimizes the overall user experience .
 Transparency: The system provides users with transparent information about gas levels, consumption patterns, and booking
alerts. This transparency fosters trust and accountability, aligning with ethical principles of honesty and openness .
 Accessibility: The system's mobile connectivity and user-friendly interface ensure accessibility for a wide range of users,
including those with varying technical expertise.

LPG
Alert IMPACT AND BENEFITS
Tech
 Real-Time Monitoring: The detection unit keeps on backtracking the weight of the LPG cylinder and has, within itself, gas
leakage detection that updates the user about his gas supply and safety in real-time.
 User Alert: In the event of gas leakage or cylinder weight below the limit, the system will trigger an alert to the user through
a buzzer and communication network to ensure he is warned about the problem instantly.
 Automatic Booking: The system can automatically trigger a pre-booking for the new LPG cylinder when the weight is low,
and hence users need not bother about ordering one.
 Mobile Notifications: The status will be intimated to the users on their mobiles through a GSM module, by which the users
can get an update on the LPG status even when they are not at home.
 Simple Interface: Using an LCD screen gives the facility to monitor the status of the system and receive alarms without
complicated interaction.
 Safety Features: In the event of leakage of gas, a mechanism of auto-cutoff system and exhaust mechanism goes into action
that provides added safety and does not depend on user interaction.
 The System comes with some benefits for safety and convenience users. It highly enhances safety by allowing real-time gas
leakage detection together with an auto-cut mechanism, thus reducing the risks of cases in a house. Features for automated
prebooking notifications sent by mobile are exploited by users through such systems. The system monitors the gas levels
continuously using weight sensors, hence eliminating the unpredictable event of gas shortage due to late refills.
