INTRODUCTION
Plagiarism is a serious issue in both
academic and professional settings. It can
have serious consequences, such as
academic failure, job loss, and even legal
action. One of the best ways to avoid
plagiarism is to use a plagiarism checker
website. These websites compare your text
to a database of billions of sources to find
any matches. The plagiarism checker
website propose is different from other
websites in several ways. First, it allows
users to compare text from two different
fields. This is useful for students who need
to check their essays for plagiarism, or for
businesses that need to check their content
for originality. Second, the website uses a
variety of different algorithms to check for
plagiarism. This helps to ensure that the

This paper we have described a plagiarism detection software or tool using python. This tool is
being used to detect out the similarities in the contents in many fields, such as, in students'
assignments, teachers' study materials, bloggers' content, echo avoid plagiarism. The availability
of various documents on internet makes students to copy-paste very easily, which leads to take
grades without knowledge background. Plagiarism can be described as "taking someone else Idea
or work as your own" which is obviously a bad practice. In this project we have also described

Title :- AI powered plagiarism detection
Author :- Mr.A.M. Nowohiri , Mr O.O.Zoda, Mr O. O.Aajayi

Plagiarism of material from the Internet is nothing new to academia and it is particularly rampant. This
challenge can range from borrowing a particularly apt phrase without attribution, to paraphrasing. Someone
else’s original idea without citation, to wholesale contract cheating. Plagiarized content can infringe on copyright
laws and could incur hefty fines on publishers and authors. Unintentional plagiarism mostly occurs due to inaccurate citation.
Most plagiarism checkers ignore this fact. Moreover, plagiarizers are increasingly becoming negatively "smarter". All these
necessitate a plagiarism detector that would efficiently handle the challenges. Several plagiarism detectors have been developed
but each with its own peculiar limitations. This paper aims at developing an Al-driven plagiarism detector that can crawl the web to
index articles and documents, generate similarity score between two local documents, train users on how to properly format in-text citations,
identify source code plagiarism and use natural language processing and forensic linguistics to properly analyze plagiarism index.
Keywords: Academia, Forensic linguistics, Natural language processing, Plagiarism, Plagiarism.

Title :- Plagiarism detection:The tools and case study
Author :- Mr.Vladislav Scherbinin

Plagiarism is a problem in many education institutions around the world. Preventing digital plagiarism requires enormous amount of work from
educator.
In this paper we concentrate on implementation of well known anti-plagiarism algorithm for local and global search for the original source of
plagiarized
assignment. We first discuss problems in the implementation of existing anti-plagiarism systems, and then describe the open architecture that
could be used
for plagiarism detection in different kind of assignments from plain text to audio submissions. Finally we present preliminary results on algorithm
implementation for processing of 1000+ submissions archive. We hope this paper will add a trend to the discussion of anti-plagiarism systems
especially
for new types of assignments.

Title :- Testing of Support tools for Plagiarism Detection
Author :- Mr. Salim Razi
Year :- 27 July 2020
There is a general belief that software must be able to easily do things that humans find difficult.
Since finding sources for plagiarism in a text is not an easy task, there is a wide-spread expectation that
it must be simple for software to determine if a text is plagiarized or not. Software cannot determine plagiarism,
but it can work as a support tool for Identifying some text similarity that may constitute plagiarism. But how well
do the various systems work? This paper reports on a collaborative test of15 web-based text-matching systems that
can be used when plagiarism is suspected . It was conducted by researchers from seven countries using test
material
in eight different languages, evaluating the effectiveness of the systems on single-source and multi-source
documents.
A usability examination was also performed. The sobering results show that although some systems can indeed hel
identify
some plagiarized content, they clearly do not find all plagiarism and at times also identify non plagiarized material a
problematic.

Title :- Plagiarism Detection based on studying correlation between author, title, content
Author :- Mr. Izzat Alsamadi
Year :- December 2021
Recently, the problem of plagiarism is becoming an important issue in many debates in the fields
of Education and Technology. The wide use and availability of electronic resources makes it easy
for students, authors and even academic people to access and use any piece of information and
embed it into his/ her own work without proper citation. The problem is raising in an exponential
manner the thing which puts the education process under threat. Several tools are presented to solve
the problem of automating plagiarism detection each of which has its own good and bad features,
but still the traditional way of plagiarism detection through free text search using search engines is
considered
an accurate and free way to detect plagiarism with the only disadvantage of being a time consuming method.

Title :- Plagiarism Detection and Prevention Techniques in Engineering Education
Author :- Mr. Mohammed Hajjar
Year :- June 2016
Plagiarism seriously damages the education process in a number of ways, where it prevents students from
developing the skills of creative thinking and critical analysis and it undermines the trust between lecturers
and students. Furthermore, if plagiarism is undetected, it can impact the reputation of the academic institution
and devalue its degrees. In this paper, we present two techniques for plagiarism detection and prevention.
The first method is based on the allocation of a unique assignment for each student, while the second

Title :- Plagiarism Detection and Intertextuality Software
Author :- Mr. Chris M. Anson
Year :- September 2023
Software for plagiarism detection was developed in the early 2000s when powerful search engines offered
writers opportunities for unattributed copy-and-pasting from other sources. Many algorithms were developed
to reveal overlaps between original and source text. Although the software was imperfect, its use has spread across
higher education, precipitating intense debates about its application to the teaching of writing. Others, however, have adopted
plagiarism detection for formative and developmental reasons, such as helping students
to understand intertextuality and making referencing a manageable skill. This chapter will briefly historicize the effects
of the internet on the practice of plagiarism; describe the technology behind digital programs for plagiarism
detection and its functional specifications; summarize some of the research on plagiarism detection programs;
describe a few of the more popular programs; and conclude with implications.

Title :- Plagiarism Detection and Prevention :- A primer for researcher’s
Author :- Mr. Armen Yuri Gasparyan
Year :- May 2013
Plagiarism is an ethical misconduct affecting the quality, readability, and trustworthiness of scholarly publications.
Improving researcher awareness of plagiarism of words, ideas, and graphics is essential for avoiding unacceptable writing
practices. Global editorial associations have publicized their statements on strategies to clean literature from redundant,
stolen, and misleading information. A lack of creative thinking and poor academic
English skills are believed to compound most instances of redundant and “copy-and-paste” writing. Plagiarism detection
software largely relies on reporting text similarities. However, manual checks are required to reveal inappropriate referencing,
copyright violations, and substandard English writing.

Future Scope
• Education and Training: Plagiarism checkers can
be used as educational tools to teach students
and professionals about proper citation and
avoiding plagiarism.
• Privacy and Security: With increasing
concerns about data privacy, future plagiarism
checkers may need to address these concerns,
especially in educational and research settings.
• Quality Assessment: Plagiarism checkers may
incorporate features to assess the quality of
the content, not just the uniqueness, ensuring
better overall project quality.
• Integration with Writing Tools: Integration with
writing and editing software will become more
seamless, allowing users to check for plagiarism
while they write and edit documents.
