Advanced Vehicle Security

Systems: Fingerprint and

RFID Technology
Introduction
• Vehicle theft and unlicensed driving are rising concerns globally.
• This project uses RFID, fingerprint recognition, and GSM to
address security concerns.
• Objective: To prevent unauthorized access and notify owners in case
of theft.
Problem Statement
• Problem: Traditional vehicle security systems are easily bypassed.
• Alarms can be ignored or disabled.
• Vehicle tracking after theft doesn’t prevent theft.
• Need: Enhanced security to prevent unauthorized access rather than
just tracking the vehicle after theft .
Existing Solutions

•GPS-GSM based tracking systems allow for vehicle tracking after theft
but don't prevent the theft itself .
•Fingerprint-based anti-theft systems prevent unauthorized access but
are limited when multiple authorized users are required .
•Biometric and RFID technologies have been integrated to enhance
security .
Proposed Methodology
• The proposed system incorporates RFID, fingerprint recognition,
and GSM technology to:Verify users before allowing access.
• Send real-time alerts via GSM.
• Track vehicle location using GPS.
System Components
•Arduino Uno: Controls the system .a
•RFID Reader & Tags: Authorizes users based on RFID tag information .
•Fingerprint Module: Verifies user identity using stored fingerprint data .
•GSM Module: Sends notifications in case of unauthorized access .
•GPS Module: Tracks the vehicle's location .
Hardware Description

•Arduino Uno: A microcontroller used to control the fingerprint and RFID

reader .
•Fingerprint Scanner: Optical fingerprint scanners capture and compare
fingerprints .
•GSM and GPS Modules: Used for remote tracking and alerting the
vehicle owner
System Working
1.Fingerprint Verification:
1. Scans the user’s fingerprint and checks for a match.
2. If a match is found, the system allows access .
2.RFID Reader:
1. Reads the driver’s license (RFID tag).
2. If authorized, the vehicle starts. Otherwise, an SMS alert is sent to the owner .
3.GSM Alerts:
1. Sends real-time SMS alerts in case of unauthorized access .
Results
•Authorized Access:
The vehicle starts after both RFID and fingerprint verification .
•Unauthorized Access:
Alerts are sent to the owner and the vehicle ignition is disabled .
Conclusion
•The proposed vehicle security system ensures both biometric
verification and RFID-based access control to prevent unauthorized
access.
•The addition of GSM notifications and GPS tracking ensures the
owner is informed of any theft attempt and the vehicle’s location.
•Future Scope:
•Expanding the system to include more advanced biometric systems
(e.g., face recognition).
•Integrating cloud-based monitoring and alerting for broader
coverage .
