Drawing & Painting
This “advanced” level course is about taking your art skills
to the next level! If you loved your beginning class and
want to continue your art studies then this class will help
you professionally advance. The class can be taken more
once for even more advancement. The course also builds
students’ skills for the AP Studio Art course.
AP Studio Arts (grades 11 & 12)
This “college level” course is for the intensely serious art
student! You are a full-fledged artist who will produce artwork for
professional purposes. Students here get an experience that
prepares them for private/professional art schools and colleges,
and in some cases, for employment directly out of high school.
Upon completion, students will have an extensive “professional”
portfolio. Be prepared to exhibit at art shows too!
AP Art History (grades 11-12)
This “college level” class is for anyone who loves art and wants to know what has
inspired artists throughout history. Art experience is not necessary. Anyone who
takes the class will spend a lot of time looking at, discussing, and writing about
famous art pieces that have motivated cultural, political and social changes since
humans have walked the planet. Art teaches us why humans are distinctively
unique!
