Module 3 Questions
Module 3 Questions
• In the detailed 2d diagram it is show all the measurements and dimensions of the table.
• The material used for the product is steel, so it give more durability and less weight.
• The corners of the tables are smoothened and a rubber material is installed at the corners
for safety purpose.
• There is clamp is placed to hold the leg of the table when it is in standing
position. When it is folded the height of the product become 5 cm.
• The diameter of the leg is 5 cm and the edges of the legs are covered with rubber bush to
get good grip on the floor.
Q1) Graphically communicate the design of a
thermo flask used to keep hot coffee. Draw the
detailed 2D drawings of the same with design
detailing, material selection, scale drawings,
dimensions, tolerances, etc. Use only hand
sketches.
Material selection
Top cap:
• This section can also be used a cup for drinking coffee
• Since it has to withstand hot coffee, we must use a high-quality plastic material which can
support minimum 200 0C on inside
• The plastic is coated with a low weight steel material
• The colour of the material can be of three choices – Black, red & steel colour
Body:
• Body is the main part of the flask
• Which will keep the hot coffee for long time.
• It contains an inner part and outer part
• Outer part is commonly used flask material which is a weight less steel material
• Inner part is glass which is coated with material which will not conduct temperature
• The inner section temperature should not affect the outer part
Bottom cap
• The bottom carrier can be used as a biscuit carrier
• The material use for this carrier can be the same material as flask is made
Design a foldable steel table. Draw the detailed 2D drawings of the
same with design detailing, scale drawings and dimensions. Use
only hand sketches. (14 marks)
Problem statement
To draw a detailed 2d drawing of foldable table.

Technical report on Design of
“Online Training Hub”
Client : AAA
Summary
This report includes the details of design of the online training software “Online training
Hub ”. This online tool is used for training students anywhere in the world. The website
have account for both students and teachers. The teachers can take live class or recorded
class to students. Assignments/ quizzes can also be assigned to students. Online exams can
also be done through this. The project is mainly done for the client
Introduction
In this covid-19 pandemic time most of the teaching is done in online mode. The important of “Online
training Hub” is high in this time. Online learning technique has its advantages in many ways. A recorded
session of the class can watch by students at any time if they miss some classes. Tracking of the learning
process can also be easily done in the online
platform. Lets discuss the details of “Online training Hub”
Detailed Design
Objectives
• Should be simple from user perspective
• Individual account and options for teachers and students
• Streaming of previous video classes
• Online test should be able to conduct
• Results, timetable, assignment etc should be able to track from accounts of individual
• Attendance system must be there
Constraints
• Data security is important
• Teacher student interaction must be there
• Minimal data usage must be there
• Mobile allocation must be available for the same

100 Kg
Let us discuss some basic physics principle for the particular job. To lift the
weight we need to know how much power used for this job
To calculate the power let us use the basic equation of power expression
𝑃 =𝑊/ 𝑇
Where,
W = work done
T = Time
𝑊 = 𝐹(Force) ∗ 𝑆(displacement)
The expression for work done is
𝐹=𝑚∗𝑎
To find the force we need the force expression
𝑊 = 980 ∗ 10 = 9800𝐽
𝑃 =9800/60
Let us assume T=60 seconds
Frontend Design:
• Create a homepage with a map of Kerala divided into districts.
• Each district should be clickable, leading to a page specific to that district.
• On the district page, include forms to input patient details such as name, age, gender, symptoms, etc.
• Use popups for error messages, confirmation messages, and to display patient details.
Backend Design:
• Use a database to store patient details. You can use MySQL, MongoDB, or any other suitable database.
• Create APIs to handle data retrieval, storage, and updates.
Sketches:
• Sketch the homepage with the map of Kerala and clickable districts.
• Sketch the district page with forms for entering patient details and popups for messages.
Documentation:
• Write a detailed document outlining the functionality of each page and the interactions between frontend and backend.
• Include the database schema and API specifications.
Software Requirements:
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a suitable framework like React or Vue.js for interactivity.
• Backend: Node.js, Express.js, and the chosen database (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Use tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma for sketching the web page.
By following these steps, you can design a web page to store COVID patient details in Kerala districtwise, along with the
necessary sketches and documentation.
