 INTRODUCTION TO INTELLECTUAL GIFTEDNESS:

Intellectual
 is when someone has a strong ability to think and
giftedness:
learn quickly, much more than most people. They
often come up with creative ideas and solve
problems in unique ways.

 It is estimated that around 2-5% of the population


is considered intellectually gifted.
 HOW TO SPOT GIFTEDNESS?
Here are three main points to spot giftedness:

Fast learning:
01 Gifted kids pick up new concepts quickly, while typical kids may need
more time to understand the same material.

Curious questions:
02 Gifted kids ask deep and thought-provoking questions, whereas
typical kids ask simpler, more basic questions

Creative solutions:
03 Gifted kids come up with unique and original ideas, while typical
kids often rely on common solutions.
 Main challenges faced by gifted
individuals:

 Perfectionism:
They may feel they must be perfect, causing stress.
 Feeling Alone:
They often struggle to make friends.
 Not reaching potential:
They might get bored and not do their best in school.
 Attributes of Gifted Individuals:

1 Creative Thinkers: Gifted people see the world differently, coming


up with unique ideas that surprise everyone!

2 Memory Masters: They can remember facts and details easily,


making learning fun and quick.

Emotionally Aware: Gifted individuals feel things deeply and


3 understand others’ feelings, helping them connect with friends and
classmates.

These traits make gifted individuals not just smart, but truly special!
 Characteristics of Gifted Individuals:
Quick thinkers They can solve problems and understand ideas much faster than others

Always curious They love asking questions and exploring new topics.

Creative mind They think of original ideas and solutions that surprise people.

Great memory They remember things well and can recall details easily.

Deep focus They can concentrate for a long time on what interests them.

Sensitive feelings They are very aware of their own emotions and those of others.

Self-motivated They are driven by their passions and interests.

Wide interest They enjoy learning about many different subjects and activities.

High IQ Typically, intellectually gifted individuals have an IQ of 130 or above.

GIFTEDNESS
What People Think: What They Really Are:

 Gifted kids might not always have perfect


 Gifted kids always get straight A's and are the
grades; they can struggle in subjects that
best in every class. don’t interest them.
 They often feel bored in school if the lessons

are too simple and may find it hard to stay

Einstein's mind was a whirlwind of questions,
always eager to explore the mysteries of the
universe. Imagine having a brain that just can’t
stop asking "Why?" and "How?"—that’s Einstein!
● Enduring Legacy: After his passing in 1955,
doctors examined Einstein's brain and found areas
linked to creativity and problem-solving were larger
than usual. This sparked important discussions
about ethics in science, making us think about how
we treat great minds. Even today, his brain
continues to inspire curiosity and research—
proving that true genius never fades!• Strong

 Arfa Karim:
A Young Tech Genius

 Background: Arfa Karim was not your average student.


While many kids her age were focused on games, she
became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional at
just 9 years old!
 Achievements: Unlike most students, who may struggle
with complex subjects, Arfa excelled in computer science
and even met Bill Gates. She showcased her skills at
international tech conferences, inspiring others with her
knowledge.
 Significance: Arfa's story highlights the difference between
typical students and those who are intellectually gifted.
While many might find tech challenging, she embraced it,
proving that with passion and talent, you can achieve
amazing things—even as a child!
