Aerial means relating to water Aerial plants are plants that do not have underground root systems; instead, they are located in areas above the ground. An example of aerial plants are epiphytes, or plants that live on another plant. Aerial animals are those animals that can fly in the air using their wings, feathers, or any other body adaptations. Some aerial animals have wings that enable them to fly in the air for a longer duration of time while some aerial animals move in the air with a lesser control of the flight.
