PAST TENSES
 Simple Past: It is used for finished actions in the past
E.g.: Last night we watched Netflix.
 Past Continuous /Progressive: It is used to show that a longer action was
interrupted (usually by a shorter action in the past simple).
E.g.: I was resting when Frank came home.
It can also be used when two continuous actions were happening at the
same time in the past.
E.g.: I was cooking while Frank was playing videogames.
 Past Perfect: It is used when one action happens before another past

E.g.: The Japanese lesson had started when I logged in.

Sunday
 On Monday i was just thinking about when he and i were together but on
Tuesday i realized that actually i felt lonely in his Company.
 Do you know when you can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness?
That’s exactly what i felt. So when we found out that we could not make
sense he said that we would still be Friends. But he cut me off!!!, can
you believe it??!! That bitch! He even had his Friends collect his records
and then changed his number. He now is just somebody that i used to
know.

It’s all coming back to me now, Celine Dion
There were nights when the wind was so cold
That my body froze in bed if I just listened to it
Right outside the window
There were days when the sun was so cruel
That all the tears turned to dust
And I just knew my eyes were drying up forever (forever)
I finished crying in the instant that you left
And I can't remember where or when or how
And I banished every memory you and I had ever made
(…)
But you were history with the slamming of the door
And I made myself so strong again somehow
And I never wasted any of my time on you since then

Someone like you, Adele
I heard that you're settled down
That you found a girl and you're married now
I heard that your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things, I didn't give to you
Old friend, why are you so shy?
Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light
I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face
And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over
(…)
You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We were born and raised in a summer haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days

Alive, Sia
I was born in a thunderstorm
I grew up overnight
I played alone
I played on my own
I survived
Hey, I wanted everything I never had
Like the love that comes with light
I wore envy and I hated that
But I survived
(…)
I knew what I wanted; I went in and got it
Did all the things that you said that I wouldn't
I told you that I would never be forgotten
