ABSTRACT

 Fraudulent behaviours in Google Play, the most popular Android app market, fuel search rank
abuse and malware proliferation.

 To identify malware, previous work has focused on app executable and permission analysis.

 In this paper, we introduce Fair Play, a novel system that discovers and leverages traces left
behind by fraudsters, to detect both malware and apps subjected to search rank fraud.

 Fair Play discovers hundreds of fraudulent apps that currently evade Google Bouncer’s
detection technology. Fair Play also helped the discovery of more than 1,000 reviews, reported
for 193 apps, that reveal a new type of “coercive” review campaign: users are harassed into
writing positive reviews, and install and review other apps.

INTRODUCTION

 In Google Play Store, it gives benefits that client can find the specific application,
buy those applications and introduce it on their cell phones.

 The project entitled “ Fraud & Malware Detection in Google play” is a mobile app based
application developed in dot net using Microsoft visual studio.

 We planned to develop this application for storing mobile app in app store, and also for
retrieving and manipulating the apps.

 Fair play also helped the discovery of more than 1,000reviews, reported
for 193 apps, that reveal a new type of “coercive” review campaign:
users are harassed into writing positive reviews, and install and review
other apps
EXISTING SYSTEM
 It existing malware detection framework system that detects Google Play fraud and malware by incremental
learning approach to characterize the dataset.

 It formulates the notion of review modeling by applying Porter stemmer algorithm.

 There are two ordinary methodologies such as
 Static approach
 Dynamic approach are utilized for distinguishing malware in Google Play store

DISADVANTAGES:
1. Google Play uses the Bouncer system to note remove malware.
2. Use risk signals extracted from app permissions
3. A score to measure the risk of apps, based on probabilistic generative models such as Naive Bayes.
4. The classification of application based on the keywords is not identified.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
 In the proposed system the detecting of normal and harmful application is analyzed by
the SVM Algorithm.
 The client can view the both the normal and harmful application.
 user can give the review on that downloaded application.
 By the given review for any application the admin will analyze the application for giving
the ranking.
 The reviews are analyzed by the Collaborative Technique.
 Fair Play discovers hundreds of fraudulent apps that currently evade Google Bouncer’s
detection technology

ADVANDAGES:
1. 97% accuracy in classifying fraudulent and benign apps
2. 95% accuracy in classifying malware and benign apps.
3. coercive review campaign attack type.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTs:
OPERATING SYSTE : WINDOWS10 PR0
FRONT END : ASP.NET
BACK END : SQLSERVER
DOMAIN : CYBER SECURITY

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
PROCCESSOR : INTEL(R)CORE(TM)i5
RAM : 6GB
CONCLUSION:
 In this project developed a fraud detection system for mobile Apps.

 An identified that for the detection of the rank ranking, rating, and review based evidence are
considered.
 Moreover proposed an optimization based aggregation method to integrate all the evidence for
evaluating the credibility of leading sessions from mobile Apps.
 Finally validate the proposed system with extensive experiments on real-world App data
collected from the Apple’s App Store.
 This project implements results showed the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
FUTURE ENHANCEMENT:

 In the future plan to study more effective fraud evidence

and analyze the latent relationship among rating, review,
and rankings.

 Moreover, will extend our ranking fraud detection

approach with other mobile App related services, such as
mobile Apps recommendation, for enhancing user
experience.
