this, we use special pronouns. Observe:

• This is my birthday present. It’s a toy car.
• I like your new dress. It is very pretty.
• Sam has a bike. His bike is black.
• Susan has a puppy. Her puppy is very
naughty.
We use possessive adjectives ( my/your/her
etc) + a noun. The possessive adjectives
agree with the possessor in gender and
number.
