SDGS And Sustainability

Since the Sustainable Development Goals

(SDGs) jointly constitute a comprehensive
framework for addressing global challenges in
a balanced and coordinated manner,
sustainability is inextricably linked to the
accomplishment of the SDGs. Here are several
ways that sustainability relates to the SDGs:
ECONOMIC GROWTH AND DECENT
INTERCONNECTED GOALS
WORK (GOAL 8)
The SDGs are highly interconnected. Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic
Progress in one goal often influences Growth) emphasizes sustainable
progress in others economic growth, which necessitates
responsible resource management,
innovation, and inclusive development
practices.
ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY LONG-TERM WELL-BEING AND
(GOAL 13-15) HEALTH (GOALS 3, 6, 11)
Goals 13 (Climate Action), 14 (Life Below Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 6
Water), and 15 (Life on Land) specifically (Clean Water and Sanitation), and 11
focus on environmental sustainability. (Sustainable Cities and Communities)
contribute to the long-term well-being of
individuals and communities through
improved health, access to clean water,
and safe living environments.

United Nation
To summarize, sustainability is both a
cross-cutting subject and an
underlying principle that supports
the fulfillment of each of the SDGs. It
ensures progress in an
environmentally friendly, socially
inclusive, and economically viable
manner, ultimately leading to a more
fair and affluent global society
