TWO BASIC REQUIREMENTS
In order to study the Bible properly, one
has to meet two basic requirements.
1st requirement: the person must be right.
2nd requirement: he has to have the right methods.
THE PERSON - THREE PREREQUISITES

A person must be right before he can

adopt the right method to study the Bible.

1. The need to be spiritual

2. The need to be consecrated
3. The need to be full-grown
1. The Need to be spiritual
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh
profits nothing; the words which I have
spoken to you are spirit and are life” (John 6:63)

Flesh Spirit
Soulish Man Spiritual Man

“But a soulish man does not receive

the things of the Spirit of God …
But a spiritual man discerns all things”.

2. The Need to be consecrated
“But whenever their heart turns to the Lord,
the veil is taken away”. (2 Cor. 3:16)

“Do not love the world nor the things in the

world. If anyone loves the world, love for
the Father is not in him.” (1 John 2:15)
3. The need to be full-grown

“But solid food is for the full-grown, who

because of practice have their faculties
exercised for discriminating between both
good and evil.” (Heb. 5:14)
