Automated System

to Avoid Accidents
At Night Time.

The Problem Statement

When a vehicle is approaching another vehicle with


a high beam that glares at the driver, it may cause an
accident. This problem statement involves developing an
automated system that can optimise a vehicle's lighting
while reducing the glare caused by oncoming traffic, thus
preventing accidents.
The Proposed Solution - Idea in brief
• When our vehicle is approaching another vehicle with high
intensity, the LDR sensor senses the high intensity, which
makes the circuit potentially unstable.
• That will trigger the transistor BC547, which is connected to
the relay circuit. Due to the triggering of the transistor, the
green bulb will glow and thus indicates that our headlight
switches from high to low.
• There will be a potentially balanced circuit network when there
is no approaching car.
• Triggering will not take place; therefore, the green led switches
to red indicate that the headlight does turn from low to high
beam.
Components:

• LDR Sensor.
• ATMEGA328 MicroController.
• Relay.
• Resistors.
• LED lights.
• Transistors.

How my solution/idea works?
(The working model/design)
• While driving at nighttime, glare is a severe problem for drivers. From
our solution, we can say that it will be helpful for nighttime travelers
and drivers.
• When they travel at night, this device can easily avoid accidents. This
device can be overcome by automatically switching the headlight to a
low beam when it senses a vehicle approaching from the opposite
side with a high beam.
• The use of these automated headlights results in convenience for the
driver while driving at night. And at the same time, it reduces
accidents.
