MENTAL ILLNESS
• Depression is a low mood that lasts for a long time, and affects your everyday life.
• Anxiety disorders is what we feel when we are worried, tense or afraid – particularly
about things that are about to happen, or which we think could happen in the future. It is a
natural human response when we perceive that we are under threat.
• Schizophrenia. You could be diagnosed with schizophrenia if you are experience some of
the following:
a lack of interest in things
Feeling disconnected from your feelings
Difficulty concentrating
Wanting to avoid people/ delusions/ hallucinations/ disorganized thinking and speech

MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGE
• Is marked by eating, eating and eating then having feelings guilt and
shame
• It means that eating disorder requires treatment from:
• A doctor
• A therapist
• A dietitian
ADHD (ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY
DISORDER)
• Common
• Hard to focus and sit still
• Hard to finish things
• Thoughts around
ADHD
• Can lead to control thoughts and bodies by figuring out what helps
them focus
• Can help talking to a doctor or mental health professional
• Some do better in school if they can do their work in a quiet room
• Medicine can help too
• People with ADHD are just smart as other people.
• They can still do well in school and in life
PTSD (POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER)
• Kids with PTSD might have every bad dreams that seem real, or think
something bad is going to happen
• But kids who are diagnosed with PTSD can learn ways to handle their
fears and can live healthy and happy lives
