Networks structure

What is a network
topology
A network topology is the physical and logical arrangement of nodes
and connections in a network. Nodes usually include devices such as
switches, routers and software with switch and router features.
Network topologies are often represented as a graph.
Why is network topology
important ?
The layout of your network is important for several reasons. Above all, it
plays an essential role in how and how well your network functions.
Choosing the right topology for your company’s operational model can
increase performance while making it easier to locate faults,
troubleshoot errors, and more effectively allocate resources across the
network to ensure optimal network health. A streamlined and properly
managed network topology can increase energy and data efficiency,
which can in turn help to reduce operational and maintenance costs.
There are six types of
network topology

Mesh topology: This is one of my personal favorites
because it's flexible enough that you can add more nodes if
needed
This type of topology is most commonly seen in large
corporate networks where there are many nodes in one
physical location and they need to be able to communicate with
each other over long distances without having any single-point
failure or downtime. The Internet uses this type of architecture
as well
A mesh topology is an intricate and elaborate
structure of point-to-point connections where the
nodes are interconnected. Mesh networks can be full
or partial mesh. Partial mesh topologies are mostly
interconnected, with a few nodes with only two or
three connections, while full-mesh topologies are fully
interconnected.

In this structure, each device is connected to exactly two
other devices, forming a circular or ring-like structure known as
ring network topology. The data travels in one direction
through the ring, passing from one device to the next until it
reaches its destination.
Each device in the ring acts as a repeater. They regenerate
and forward the data to the next device. Ring topology is
known for its simplicity and uniform data distribution.
