preparing for the exam.

Bear in mind that allocation of marks or marking scheme informs you regarding
the length of your answer.

This will also inform you of the time which you are expected to spend on each
question.

REVIEW KEY CONCEPTS

Go through the study units and familiarise yourself with the main aspects or
topics covered.

For each aspect covered, formulate a comprehensive summary and highlight

key discussions

particular set of facts within a time limit

 Get feedback from your study partner or peer or even a lecturer or

facilitator on your practice essay or application of a particular aspects,
arguments strength etc.

 Ensure that you cover all aspects covered in a study unit and practicalize
this aspect in a set of facts or given scenario, apply it and develop
arguments or interrogate it to gage your level of understanding

USE PAST PAPERS/EXAM BRIEF

Normalise perusing past or previous question papers to familiarise yourself with
the format of the exam and or the method of assessing the students in the
similar field or subject

Set a timer and complete these papers as if you were in the exam. This builds
familiarity and reduces anxiety.

Identify recurring themes or topics in past exams to focus your revision.

DEVELOP A STUDY SCHEDULE

Divide your syllabus/study units into manageable sections, allocating specific
days or hours to each topic.

Prioritize Difficult Areas-Spend more time on topics you find challenging, while
still reviewing stronger areas.

Schedule short breaks to avoid burnout and keep your mind fresh .

ACTIVE REVISION
TECHNIQUES
Teach Back Method. This entails that you may resort to explain
concepts to a study partner or even to yourself. Teaching
reinforces your understanding.

Create flashcards for key terms and concepts. Use them

for quick, focused reviews.

Join or form study groups to discuss key topics and clarify

doubts. Engaging with peers can enhance understanding.

&
MINDFULNESS AND RELAXATION TECHNIQUES
