Many teachers expressed optimism about the

long-term impact of the coaching and mentoring

sessions on their teaching practices. They believed
that the skills and strategies learned would continue
to benefit both them and their students in the future.
Engaging in the coaching and mentoring
process encouraged teachers to reflect on their
teaching practices and identify areas for growth.
Many found the reflective exercises to be valuable in
refining their instructional approaches and addressing
any gaps in their knowledge or skills.
Likewise, teachers recognized the
importance of ongoing professional development in
enhancing their ability to effectively integrate literacy
and numeracy into teaching. They expressed a desire
for continued support and opportunities for learning in
this area.
To sum up, I viewed our coaching and
mentoring sessions as instrumental in helping me
develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed
to effectively incorporate literacy and numeracy into
my teaching practices, ultimately benefiting both the
teacher and the students.

and numeracy skills seamlessly into my lessons,
regardless of the subject I taught.
I really appreciated the practical strategies
shared during the sessions. I found the examples
provided to be particularly helpful in understanding
how to incorporate literacy and numeracy into
various lesson plans effectively.
I also observed a positive change in
student engagement following the implementation
of literacy and numeracy strategies learned during
the coaching sessions. I noticed that
students were more actively participating in class
discussions and showing a deeper understanding
of the material.

Literacy, and numeracy are fundamental skills in the
learning process. These are what our learners need to understand
concepts, to construct meanings, and to convey insights. That is
the reason why teaching and enhancing literacy, and numeracy
skills should be a shared accountability among teachers in all
learning areas.
During our coaching and mentoring session, I
reflected on my own practices and the ways in which I can create
language-rich environments in my classroom. I was inspired to
incorporate storytelling, reading aloud, and interactive numeracy
activities into daily lessons, nurturing a love for language and
numbers in my students. It deepened my understanding of the
power of intentional and purposeful interactions in promoting
language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
Furthermore, it gives the importance of individualized
instruction and differentiation in supporting literacy, and
numeracy development. It reminded me that each child has
unique strengths, interests, and learning styles. I was prompted to
reflect on the ways in which I can adapt my teaching strategies to
meet the diverse needs of my students.

Literacy and numerical skills play a crucial
role in the learning of the learners. These skills enable
learners to learn and think critically in all areas of
learning. Without these skills, learners will experience
difficulty in coping with the subjects across the
curriculum.
In connection to this, in our coaching and
mentoring session, I realized that the strategies I
utilized were effective in promoting learner achievement
in literacy and numeracy. The strategies that I used
were I think best fit to their learning styles. As what I
have observed, learners were able to learn
independently, communicate with others and solve
problems. Moreover, they were able to apply these
skills in other subjects as these were the foundations of
lifelong learning.

Proficiency in literacy and numeracy is essential for
fundamental learning, practical life skills, accessing higher education
and career prospects, critical thinking and problem-solving, lifelong
learning, personal growth, and global citizenship. Excelling in these
areas allows individuals to engage with diverse subjects,
communicate effectively, make well-informed decisions, adapt to new
challenges, and actively contribute to society.
Teaching strategies play a crucial role in enhancing
student achievement in literacy and numeracy. Effective approaches
encompass various methods such as adapting instruction to individual
needs, promoting active participation, conducting ongoing
assessments, integrating technology, providing clear guidance,
establishing connections between different subjects, and embracing
diverse cultural perspectives.
Through the help of our coaching and mentoring session we were
able to realize that , encouraging engagement, offering feedback,
leveraging technology, providing explicit guidance, fostering
interdisciplinary connections, and valuing cultural diversity, we,
teachers can create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
that cultivates strong literacy and numeracy skills, ultimately leading
to improved student achievement.
